She was trained in physiology and critical thinking in Dr. Duncan MacKenzie's lab. Dr. Jennifer L. Regan boasts over ten years of experience in teaching human anatomy and physiology, introductory biology, and genetics at both university and community college levels. Her dedication to education has also been recognized by student organizations, including Increasing Minority Access to Graduate Education and the Alliance for Graduate Education in Mississippi. Throughout her career, Dr. Regan has focused on enhancing both lecture and laboratory instruction, striving to cultivate critical thinking and a passion for lifelong learning among her students. She holds a deep admiration for the Seeley approach to education and is enthusiastic about contributing to the ongoing development of relevant textbooks. Dr. Regan earned her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Houston, under the mentorship of Edwin H. Bryant and Lisa M. Meffert. She is actively involved with several professional organizations, including the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. In her leisure time, she cherishes moments with her husband, Hobbie, and their two sons, Nicholas and Patrick.
