Dr. Jerry J. Weygandt, PhD, CPA, is a distinguished Arthur Andersen Alumni Professor of Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned his Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Illinois. Renowned for his contributions to the field, Dr. Weygandt's articles have been published in prestigious journals such as the Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accountancy, and Journal of Accounting Research, focusing on critical financial reporting topics like convertible securities, price-level adjustments, pensions, stock option contracts, and interim reports. An accomplished author of several books on accounting and financial reporting, he is an active member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Wisconsin Society of Certified Public Accountants. Dr. Weygandt has taken on leadership roles within the American Accounting Association, serving on various committees and as a member of the editorial board for the Accounting Review, as well as holding the positions of President and Secretary-Treasurer.
